Adjusting to life with recently diagnosed three year old with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (as told by his mom, Michelle)

9.27.2005

so i thought we were in the clear. turns out he's back on decadron (steroids). i hate steroids!!! he's very sensitive to them & doesn't act himself. on top of that he has his pill (mercaptopurine) & his methotrexate (5 small pills taken every monday). last night it literally took me one whole hour to get him to down the 5 pills. i don't know what happened. he used to be able to down them on his own. earlier this afternoon he gagged after having been given the first dose of decadron. this evening he almost gagged. he never used to do that. it's so scary cause what if he throws it all up? yikes!!! i can't let that happen.
